I absolutely love it when couples choose to do their engagement session in downtown Columbus. The light dances off the buildings; there’s so much architectural richness to play with; and there are tons of lovely green spaces to contrast the urban feel. For Taylor and Brooks’ engagement session, we started at the Ohio Supreme Court building, as the golden hour sun perfectly backlights the couple on the north side of the building and there’s a great catch light reflecting off the windows of the building behind the camera. From there, we walked down the steps to the Scioto Mile to better capture the beauty of the setting sun over the river as well as capture some engagement photos with the Columbus skyline in the background. It was a great way to spend a lovely spring evening!
Taylor and Brooks’ engagement shoot left me even more excited for their wedding at the Westin Great Southern in downtown Columbus in December!
I value taking the time to get to know each couple so that I can best tell the story of their love for each other in a manner that feels true to them. Get ready to fill your walls with memories that you will cherish for a lifetime!
