Sarah & Samuel | The Gardens at Jorgensen Farms Wedding

This past weekend, I had the absolute privilege to photograph Sarah and Samuel’s wedding at the Gardens at Jorgensen Farms. For one, Jorgensen is one of the most beautiful wedding venues in the greater Columbus area, with two distinct but equally beautiful venues to host your wedding. While Oak Grove, with its historic greenhouse, is perhaps the more well-known of the two, I would argue that the Gardens has even more to offer. Over the past few years, the owners constructed the Arboretum – a brand new ceremony building that compliments the incredible manicured gardens that Jorgensen is known for. They also built two beautiful getting ready suites with abundant natural light for wedding parties to hang out in and get ready before the ceremony. In short, it’s one of my favorite venues to photograph!

Even more importantly, Sarah and Sam are the kind of couple that wedding photographers dream of: kind, fun, authentic, and very much in love with one another. Despite their youth, the roots of their relationship run deep. Sarah and Sam began their relationship in high school and have been together for over 10 years now. This depth and familiarity is immediately transparent on seeing them together and made the process of photographing them that much easier.

Sarah and Sam compliment each other incredibly well. While Sarah is the more outgoing of the two, she understands that Sam grounds her. In her words, “He always knows the right thing to say and knows how to comfort me in times of need. He makes me feel like the only girl in the world and shows me what real love is.” For his part, Sam recognizes that Sarah helps him to venture outside of his comfort zone in order to bring out the best in him. Additionally, he loves “that she always puts others before herself. She is the most selfless and caring person (and) has a beautiful smile I never get tired of seeing.”
