Claire and Dave are the sort of people who don’t demand attention, but somehow draw people in anyway. Claire has a natural warmth that immediately puts others at ease—probably one of the many reasons she’s such a wonderful teacher. Dave has an effortless charm that’s difficult to describe and even harder to imitate. Together, they have the kind of quiet chemistry that doesn’t need to be manufactured or exaggerated. It’s simply who they are.

One of the most beautiful aspects of marriage is that you have someone with whom to navigate the stormy periods of life. Kristen and Ryan didn’t know it going into the day, but they got to experience a brief preview of this during their wedding this past Saturday at Wedgewood Golf and Country Club in Powell. From the mid-day heat and humidity to the tropical-storm force afternoon thunderstorms to the unexpected and gorgeous golden hour, their day had it all. And through it all, they demonstrated their love for one another, maintaining their focus on the joy of finally getting to commit their lives to one another.

Stephanie and Chris pulled off something that’s surprisingly rare: being both elegant and completely authentic. Yes, they looked incredible in their formal portraits, but the real magic happened in between. The quiet snuggles, the spontaneous laughter, the way they’d lead into each other without thinking. I found myself capturing far more candid moments than posed ones – and honestly, as a wedding photographer in Columbus, that’s always the dream.

multicultural wedding celebration

Every cultural tradition has its unique way of celebrating a wedding, but if there’s one thing the Indian culture does better than most, it’s throw an epic wedding celebration! Aayush and Aarti’s two-day wedding in Columbus, Ohio was the perfect reflection of that spirit: vibrant, emotional, beautifully choreographed (literally), and overflowing with love.

With a Sangeet at Swan Lake and the wedding day at Hilton Columbus Easton, this was the kind of weekend you don’t forget — and Caro and I felt so lucky to be part of it.

Some weddings feel like a whirlwind. But Alison and Jacob’s day at Jorgensen Farms was the exact opposite — it was calm, intentional, joy-filled, and perfectly reflective of who they are as a couple. From emotional vows to a surprise turn in the weather, their day was all about savoring real moments over perfection — and that’s what made it unforgettable.

Some weddings remind me why I love this job so much, and Katie and Nick’s wedding day at Nationwide Hotel just north of Columbus was absolutely one of them. From the very beginning, it was clear that this wasn’t just about pretty details or a perfectly-executed timeline – it was about the depth of connection that Katie and Nick share not only with one another but with their family and friends as well. Their wedding day was a beautiful blend of real emotion, unexpected moments, and an unforgettable celebration that seemed to wonderfully capture who they are as a couple.

Some weddings stay with you long after the last song fades, and Callia and Ryan’s downtown Columbus wedding was one of them. Their day wasn’t just about beautiful details or elegant portraits – it was about connection, family, and crafting a celebration that felt completely and undeniably them.

Richard and Emma’s wedding day was the perfect balance of classic elegance and authentic emotion. From the heartfelt ceremony at Saint Francis of Assisi Church to the reception at the iconic Ohio Statehouse, their wedding celebration was as stunning as it was personal.

What made their wedding so special wasn’t just the gorgeous setting – it was the way the day felt. There was laughter, quite a few (happy) tears, and a beautiful energy that made the day a truly joyous celebration.

This past weekend, I photographed my last wedding of the season, and what a way to end the season it was! Sami and Bronson’s wedding at Brookshire Event Center was at once joyful and a bit hectic but in the best possible way. If there’s one word I could use to describe it, it would be this: FAMILY.
