Katie and Jaccob’s wedding was a beautiful celebration of love and authenticity. Their choice of venue – the Barn at the Backwoods – provided the ideal setting, blending Jaccob’s “modern hillbilly” style with Katie’s refined aesthetic. From the emotional ceremony to their fun reception, their wedding day was filled with little moments that made the day both unique and special.

One of the best parts of being a wedding photographer is waking up excited to go to work. And while it’s certainly nice to get to photograph some of the most beautiful wedding venues around Columbus, the thing that makes me most excited is getting to work with great people. That was absolutely the case this past Saturday, as I had the opportunity to celebrate Hannah & Rhodes and document their wedding at Vue Columbus.

This Saturday, I had the pleasure of photographing one of the most memorable and personal weddings I’ve done in years. Brittany and Evan chose to get married at Brittany’s godmother’s home, transforming an already gorgeous property into a stunning setting for a wedding. From the tented ceremony and reception to the manicured grounds to the enchanted garden created just for this wedding, it was truly a day to remember.

This August, I had the privilege of capturing Emma & Richard’s engagement photos in downtown Columbus. They’re getting married at the Ohio Statehouse and wanted to incorporate some of the classic elegance of their wedding venue into the aesthetic of their engagement photos. We started at the Ohio Supreme Court building, as its beautiful marble facade offers a timeless look and feel, and its proximity to the Scioto River means there’s plenty of gorgeous golden sunlight to be captured.
